During the month of June, Portuguese all over the country thousands of Portuguese come together to celebrate the "Festas dos Santos Populares," a celebration of history and tradition.
The symbols of this century long popular party embody the Portuguese identity represent the embodiment of Portuguese identity, each element carrying its own unique significance. Embracing and respecting these traditions not only connects us to our roots but also moulds us into better individuals. The annual unveiling of a new Sardine represents a visual metaphor for the different ways one can interpret a symbol.
